2021.10.21 15:56 JiinsIsOnReddit Why is C9 by far the best performing team at worlds every year, even through format changes and team differences across the years?
It's weird to me that C9 is always by far the best performing team internationally. By that I mean that despite changes in the players and coaches, both in C9 and all of NA, they're by far the team that does the best internationally across all iterations and every worlds championship. Even when they don't win NA, or have to go through play-ins, they're pretty much always the last hope of the region in quarters, which they rarely miss. It's almost like the name of C9 itself is the biggest factor.
I was curious as to why you guys think that is. Again, I'm more wondering as to how or why the org itself is always the one advancing to quarters at worlds, instead of pretty much any other NA team, no matter the form C9 or TSM, for example, takes.

2021.10.21 15:56 UnexperiencedIT I didn’t understand how I could know if we are in a bear market so I did some research and wrote conclusions
This is just my humble opinion, I am far from a crypto expert.
Since I’ve been in the crypto world for a while now you might be surprised that I still consider myself a beginner. That is why I try to learn something new every day.
After reading on various sites, I drew common conclusions.

2021.10.21 15:56 womble123 I have a terribly bad leg after a accident a year ago. I can walk but its painful and jumping around is out the question. VR gaming question below...
As above, on the 28th of October last year I had something called Compartment Syndrome in my leg. If you want to see gore and what I went through I have a dedicated Instagram called 'thefootdrop' which with the link above and my photos which i took while awake, bar one. Or if you cannot be bothered to read etc, I shall just say its been nearly a year of pain, meds. appointments, 3 months in hospital and operations and want to know if I can play VR from the sofa/couch? Still not at physio stage yet...
Anyhow, I dug out my HTC Vive as I hardly use it but im using my PS5 and gaming rig more and more now. I bought a Nvidia Founders 3080 Ti so I can pass the time on Windows games and PS5 games. Oh, about 4 days before I went into hospital via ambulance due to the pain a LG OLED 65" GX which is like the CX but thinner and no stand, wall mount kit comes with it but you can buy a stand for around £70 IIRC. Also the second day I was in I hd a email saying my PS5 had been delivered to a neighbour, I wasn't worried as I live on a little cul-de-sac and the lady who looked after it and extra controller, 3D Pulse Headset, Camera and a handful of games.
Right, you should get the idea I think, I can hardly walk so couch/sofa gaming is my play area, the sofa!
Two questions; can you use the HTC Vive controllers to walk etc and how much moving around do you have to do? Ideally, in a perfect world its just waving my hands around hopefully! I just bought two games for now, I bought Flight Sim outright via steam instead of free Microsoft Store Gamepass version. I also picked up Half-Life: Alyx and I think some of my other games will work also? Link to list of games:
Sorry for the long post. I don't expect people to read it all! Maybe I should do a Youtube video. would be a lot quicker and easier.

Everything works fine, except there is one tiny dead sub pixel in the very bottom left. It’s pretty much unnoticeable when browsing the web, and impossible to see in games. Feel free to make me an offer, thanks.

2021.10.21 15:56 lotusmaglite I love it when a plan comes together.
For the Event Campaign, I chose the Lobi. I already had plenty of ships, but the only thing I had from the Lobi store was the Iconian staff. I was looking to build a plasma beam boat, and that takes Lobi. So I got my 1,500 and sat on it until there was a sale, gathering the rest of the gear I'd need as I waited: the Lukari plasma array and console. DOMINO. Romulan plasma arrays for symmetry and color coordination. All the good stuff I would have to upgrade at great expense. And then the Lobi sale happened, and I got my Altamid set (bought the Xindi ship off the exchange). Then it was time to bite the bullet and--
But wait, what's this? Upgrade weekend? Sweet! Gilding my gear just got cheaper!
Now all I needed was to pick a ship. Hmm. My k/d/connie collection doesn't seem appropriate for a Romulan. But I don't like any of my warbirds for a beam boat. Something quick and agile. No, not my Andorian ships; I'm already using one for a phaser cannon boat. Hmm.
And that's when Mudd's went on sale for 75% off, and I pulled the trigger on something I've wanted since I first saw it: the Risian Corvette. Of course, technically, I didn't want the C-store Corvette. I wanted the Fleet Pilot Corvette.
Mwahahaha. This thing is awesome. It's like when I was a kid, certain sneakers just looked faster. Except this ship is fast. And incredibly nimble. I'm doing donuts around Birds of Prey, zipping from fight to fight, melting faces, and little did I know - but was delighted to discover - I can pick my impulse trail color. Oh, hell yeah. It kinda sucks I missed the Summer Event featuring this ship, and had to spend 4,250 zen to get it, but damn, is it worth it. I got the Luxury Cruiser from this year's Lolnut Festival, and I got last year's Ant Lion Weather Wagon no one flies, but the Corvette? I didn't start playing STO in time to get it.
And now I got it. With gleaming gold gear, and a turn rate so fast I'm already around the corner before I decide to turn. Zoooooom! I love it when a plan comes together.

2021.10.21 15:56 LesaValencia Global damages/losses from ransomware attack to reach $20 billion this year and more than $265 billion by 2031, Nubeva ($NBVA)
TSX-V: NBVA OTC: NBVAF
I found this cloud-based security software and services company called Nubeva Technologies Ltd., they develops and licenses proprietary software for the decryption of network traffic. The cyber security industry is a rapidly growing sector with lots of room for new companies to expand and capture market share.
They’re a young company, founded in San Jose California in 2016. Their share price increased massively in the past year from $0.56 to $0.85.
This company still has tons of potential, with a market cap of $52.5 million they have tons of upside potential. Nubeva Tech grew revenues by 1,049% over the last year, that's way above most other pre-profit companies. Most of their revenue is being spent on R&D, creating products, it’s a good sign for the long term growth of the company.
They made big news recently, they adapted their core IP to solve ransomware attacks. Ransomware is one of the biggest issues globally and ransomware attacks have made big news recently. Their technology can get the ransomeware key and decrypt the encrypted files giving the customer back full access.
Ransomware attacks are so common these days, news about infrastructure and healthcare attacks are on the news all the time. Cybersecurity Ventures are predicting global damages/losses from ransomware attack to reach $20 billion this year and more than $265 billion by 2031. Now Nubeva is working with government agencies, cyber security companies and fortune 100 companies to offer their ransomware solution.
Trend Micro, a billion dollar multinational cyber security company has completed integrations and is deploying Nubeva technology across multiple product lines.
Their share price spiked in late April and has declined slightly but is still doing incredibly well YTD, with the most recent news that their SKI tech can be adapted for ransomware attacks there is so much potential for this company to grow. Their focus is now on finishing their product and are expecting to take it to market in Q1 2022. Their ransomware solution is one of a kind in the market, I haven’t seen any other company with a similar product. There is so much demand for this product and it’s desperately needed in the market so I expect their share price to grow considerably early next year when they take this product to market.
This is not financial advice.

2021.10.21 15:56 Whyamifulloftrouble Whats a gun game today you would say is low in difficulty that works be ideal for beginners?
Here are the rules:
Made after about 2012 - graphics. If there is something you would highly recommend before 2011 that's fine I'll see if there is an unofficial texture pack
Low on sex: zero imagery of"stuff" and innuendo must be low. Implied "stuff" is also a no no. The worst there can be is slightly revealing outfits and very light innuendo
Low on gore. I have been playibg rise of the tomb raider. Nothing more gory than that. So NOTHING like doom or mortal kombat
